The Natural Shiraz is made from a small parcel of hand-harvested fruit from the famous Filsell vineyard, planted in the 1920s. Enticing dark fruit aromas, with an earthy and structurally balanced palate. Fine tannins and wild berry flavours create harmonious balance.
Tasting Notes
Deep violet colour, with a ruby red rim. Cracked black pepper on the nose with leather, cinnamon and dark chocolate. The palate has a good balance between ripe and elegant. It's got enough weight to don the Barossa GI, but it's a solid, firm tannin structure and length that gives the wine quite a bit of finesse. There's a touch of umami on the back palate as well to carry through with the finish. Goes perfectly with grilled meats.
